Rain and sun...

We have had a variable weather (or "every-second-day-weather" as we would say here) lately. That means that it has been raining one day, to be followed by sunshine the next and then back to rain again the day after... I have probably told you hundreds of times, that I don't mind rain. But I have to admit I love some sunshine as well! I am easy to please!

It is difficult to sleep when it is so bright outside. But I am not complaining, as it will get dark soon enough (exactly 6 months to Christmas today! ) and I also feel that I don't need so much sleep in the summer season. Even at weekends, when I can have a lie in, I get up very early and enjoy a few hours to myself before the house wakes up.

I will wait and see if the sun decides to come out, before I make any plans for the day.

it sounds as though we have swapped weather it has been gorgeous here today and yesterday and if the weather forcast is to be believed then it will be lovely for the rest of the week too yaaaay gorgeous sunshine with lovely breezes. The weather must be celebrating my final week here

  I might be odd, thinking like this, but even but I love sunshine I can find it very peaceful to sit by the window looking at the rain and hearing it pouring down outside! Or even take a walk and feel the cold rain on my cheek And not to forget - it smells so nice when it is raining!

    nope not odd at all to be honest I much prefer the rain as I cant stand the heat from the sun all the time although it isnt so bad with a nice breeze. I always love a nice rain shower makes everything so much fresher feeling and smelling

Neat expression ... Every second day weather.

I too love the sound of rain.

Especially when snuggled in bed all warm and cosy.

Hi mcotw, you are one of the few bloggers that lives further North than I do, sunshine and warm days are fewer than the rainy ones, suppose the only thing that we can do to change it is move South.

  Actually, our summers are usually very warm and nice, even but I live far more north than you do!

We are experiencing a thunderstorm right now. I love the sound of a good storm. :-) Alas, Velvet is not as excited about them as I am which is why she is pushed under my desk at the moment. Rain forecast her for Wednesday but then we are supposed to be entering another hot spell - 25+ celcius for the weekend and Canada Day celebrations.

  Storms are quite common in the southern parts of the country but we very seldom get them here. I can't figure out why? I would not mind them as I too find them cosy in a way But when hearing about the damage they cause and people getting hurt, I am happy just having some windy weather in between!

    Note...a qualification here. I like to hear the sounds of a storm or watch it in the distance from my porch. It is less exciting when I have to cycle home in the wind and the rain. I am getting too old for that stuff and my body enjoys warm, sunny....WINDLESS days to cycle in.

Sun, rain, sun, rain....it just can't make up it's mind here. It's raining now, i'm leaving work in twenty minutes and i didnt bring a coat or an umberella.

i wont ever complain about the rain ...it would be nice if it only rained at night though!!

One philosophical thought about windy, rainy and sunny days.....we have the ability to get outside and experience all of these variations. Some people are not so lucky thus, I guess, we should class ourselves as being fortunate enough to 'enjoy' the weather.
