Weekend...

It is Friday again! I wish time would not fly so fast at this time of year! Not that I mind weekends, but a few more weekends and then it will be autumn again! I know, I am being pessimistic now! I will say no more!!

The sun has been out today. We have also had some rain. A typical English weather, you might say!

I have just given my husband a lift to a party with his friends. My eldest son is with his girlfriend and my daughter is on holiday. That leaves me and my youngest son at home. And the cats! I must not forget them!

I have no plans for the night except for watching a bit of TV maybe. It will be interesting to find out if they are showing anything else than football, now that I have the remote control all to myself! In fact, I think I read somewhere about a film with Meg Ryan... "French kiss"... It sounds like a chick flick. That will do!

Have a good evening, and put your feet up and relax now you have control of the remote...LOL...I always have control of it, mainly because hubby presses all the wrong buttons when he gets hold of it...though he does get it when I leave the room then goes channel hopping which drives me up the wall... He sounds henpecked but he isn't...he lives life mostly exactly as he wants to live it with me poking my nose in occasionally just to remind him I'm still here...HLOL...great big hugs...XXX

  I don't know if I can say that I have control of the remote... I hardly know how to use it!
  
  We have three different remote controls; for the TV, for the cable TV device and for the surround system. I never know which one to use and what buttons to press so sometimes I mess everything up! Good job I have my son to ask!

    Oh, don't remind me, so have we...remotes grow like bugs...I'm always picking up the wrong one or having to put on different glasses to read close up and distant...we have one for the cable, one for the TV, one for the video, one for the DVD and two for the Wii...told you they're multiplying....HLOL...the only one I just won't learn is the DVD player and hubby controls that one...all the others I control, because he has no idea how to program the video recorder... Did try to program a multi-tasking remote that was supposed to do everything, but it was a complete waste of time, energy and money, because it didn't...great big hugs..

      lol... I forgot to mention the DVD remote! And you are spot on with the reading bit... Why are the text on those remote things always so small?

        I guess it's because of all the perishing buttons on it...LOL...to program the video I have to balance my long distance glasses on the top of my nose to see the video under the TV, and my reading glasses underneath to feed the inf into the video on the video remote in my hand... Really, when you think about it, they can send a satellite to Mars and land it on the surface, but they can't create a better way of putting information into all the gadgets we have with regard to entertainment...priorities are clearly wrong...HLOL...NASA should concentrate on resolving the problems of the expanding remotes before they go charging off into space...great big hugs...XXX

Well it comes to something when you can rescue a motorist and get his car started but can not turn on your own TV

Ever thought of buying a master remote that works everything ??? TV, DVD, cable, cooker, washing machine, husband and kids LOL..LOL..

sounds like you had a nice friday night I did tooo. I know what you mean about the year flying by it scared me the other day when I looked at the calendar and realised there is only a week until the longest day and then the nights will start drawing in again and before youo know it winter will be upon us once again but we have autumn (my fave time of year) to come first so hopefully it wont be too bad

This year is going just too quickly. It is hard to imagine that the year is halfway down. My kayak season is rapidly passing me by!

Remotes...sigh...I have four of them and never pick up the right one. I 'click' away and wonder why nothing is happening...wrong remote. Or, I can't remember what button does what I want it to do....I call these my pre-senior's moments.
