I am sorry I have not been very active lately, neither blogging myself nor commenting your blogs. I have simply been busy with things outside the Internet (I think they call it " the real world"
)
Anyway, I have just got home from work and have a few minutes before I need to start with dinner so I will write a few lines.
I have read a few blogs about the Eurovision Song Contest and thought I would give my thoughts on it. I have to confess that I find it quite entertaining, even but I don't really care about who wins. I mean, of course we all hope that our own country will do well, but who cares in the end?? This is just a silly contest. It's not about the songs anyway. ![]()
But I enjoyed the show and all the outfits. Some songs were really nice (and some were rubbish...)
The most interesting part with the voting, was when the young Swedish stand up comedian gave our votes in his own special way...
(I read in the paper, that half of the population thought he was funny and the other half was feeling ashamed... - I agree on both!
)
Other things the papers are writing about is how it could go so wrong??
Everyone had such high expectations and then this happened! Don't we ever learn? It is the same every year... all the "surveys" point to victory but in the end, all we get is a few votes from our neighbours!
Well, it is just a game after all, and it will soon be forgotten...
Especially now when the European Championship in football is starting!
(I am fed up with it already...) No funny costumes, no exciting voting or anything... Just a bunch of muddy, sweaty men chasing a ball...

Maybe we need a return to the old Jeux Sans Frontiere games that used to be so popular back in the sixties....
