Soon...

OK, so it is snowing again! But half of April is soon gone, and spring is just around the corner really! I can't wait! I am looking forward to all the seasons but I think I love spring most of all! It brings me great joy to find the first coltsfoot or to see the first bumblebee. And knowing that a long (well, too short actually!) warm (hopefully!) summer is ahead, is a wonderful feeling!

I usually have something nice planned for the holiday. This will be the first summer in a few years, that I won't go anywhere and that's a shame as I really like to get to see something else for a change. But I am sure there will be some daytrips around the area and picnicks by the sea. As long as the weather stays nice, there are nice things to do!

But we are not there yet so there is plenty of time to make plans!

Hope it comes for you soon...we saw our first bumblebees yesterday but they have probably been beaten down today with the hail...it should be Spring here, but it isn't...we're still waiting...your favourite place looks beautiful...I've got a spell checker on this and it's supposed to be UK English, but the darned this is showing me USA spellings all the time and I end up confused...like favourite for example...it's underlining mine as incorrect when I know it's right...and when I type in favorite which is USA spelling it passes it as right...I think I'll delete the darn spell checker... Don't actually need it but downloaded it because recommended by Firefox...pain in the butt...LOL...big hugs....

  I learned British English at school and that is what I try to stick to, but sometimes I get confused when you (English people) use the word "truck" instead of "lorry" and "movie" instead of "cinema"

    Oh, yes, we use a lot of words meaning similar things...I've discovered why the US Dictionary was in my Firefox Browser...the British one isn't compatible with it...wonderful...LOL...they don't tell you that...oh, well...will do without a dictionary...don't need one really...big hugs...

      According to my English dictionary (and from what I learned at school), "lorry" and "cinema" are British words, "truck" and "movie" are American words. But you seem to mix them, and that is confusing!

        Oh we use a lot of American words all the time...English is a large mixture of words from all over the world...big hugs...

    My family tends to use truck to mean a small, very tough lorry/van used on a farm or similar difficult terrain, whereas lorry is something bigger driven on roads especially motorways.

we have done a stay at home holiday and taken time to have a look at the area that we live in. i did not realise there was so much nearby....i was well worth it..

Day trips do have the advantage of a change of scenery from day to day. Variety is supposed to be the spice of life.

  Monday is usually a stressful day for me and I always end up with a headache. But I am sure I will be OK tomorrow

aww I can see why that is one of your favourite spots I know I would love that I remember when i used to go on holiday in Wales I found a lovely little spot where I just used to sit and watch the tide come in and go out there is just something so calming about water isnt there I love it.
spring is a lovely time of year but it also brings with it the big spring clean I still have autumn as my fave season but spring comes a close second I think

  We don't have the tide here. I wish we had, as I find it very exciting! But I love to sit on the rocks, and listen to the waves! That is very relaxing too!

    I love that too just to sit there and listen to it be it waves or the trickle of a stream or flow of a river or even the calmness of a lake its gorgeous to me
